ORECCHIETTE LESSONS BESIDES THE TRULLI

From the city to the countryside on a sightseeing tour for the whole family. You'll see Bari's most notable monuments and stop at a farmstead in the countryside around Alberobello. Here you'll taste Apulian cacioricotta cheese while drinking Primitivo wine, before taking part in an Apulian cooking lesson and discovering how to make traditional homemade orecchiette pasta!

MAIN STOPS:

Sightseeing tour of Bari

Locorotondo and surrounding countryside

Stop and visit to traditional farmstead in the countryside around Alberobello with tasting.

THE PROGRAMME:

The guided tour starts on Corso Cavour, the city's main street, where, from the bus, you'll see the Chamber of Commerce building and the white and red façade of the Petruzzelli Theater. Then it's straight to the modern part of the city, built in the nineteenth century.

Next, a trip into the land around Bari awaits, which will pass through Locorotondo and take you to the countryside around Alberobello. You'll stop in front of an eighteenth century complex of trulli that belongs to the Papaperta farmstead.

This is where a tasting awaits you, and one of the oldest Apulian dilemmas: which cheese is better, provolone or cacioricotta?

Now it's time to roll up your sleeves: you'll take part in a cooking class to learn how to make Apulian orecchiette. Furthermore, before you head back to port, you'll receive a delicious free gift: which delight will you be taking home?
