We started our day with a visit Independence Square in midcity Kuala Lampur where two rivers converge. and then made our way to the central market. At the market we browsed through multiple shops and then a food market where we stocked up on some local snacks.

Next we headed to the Royal Selangor pewter factory where many nice pewter items such as cups, statues, and jewelry are made. Royal Selangor pewter factory, the largest pewter manufacturing industry in the world, was founded in 1885.

Our next stop was the Batu Caves complex with a towering Buddha statue and many monkeys at the base of the mountain. Batu caves, a natural splendour. Composed of three main caves and various smaller ones: the tallest one houses a Hindu sanctuary, which can be accessed using a stairway with 272 steps, allowing you to climb the steep and jagged walls of this limestone surface. We climbed the steps in the hot humid weather to reach a large cave with multiple Hindu structures and temples inside.

We then visited the Petronas Twin Towers for a quick look. Petronas Twin Towers are the tallest twin skyscrapers in the world (452 m).

Final stop of the tour was a nice lunch in a local hotel.

We then had a one hour bus ride back to the ship.
