We started our three day tour in Colombo Sri Lanka.
After disembarking the ship and a brief ride through Colombo with some window touring we arrived at the Colombo Airport.
Our flight had a three hour layover in Hyderabad, India and then continued on to New Delhi. We arrived at the New Delhi hotel (Radisson Blu) around mid-night where a full buffet dinner was waiting for us.
We woke at 5:30 am in the morning and grabbed a boxed breakfast to go and started a very long day:
- A 45 minute bus ride from our hotel to the New Delhi train station (Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station).
- Two hour train ride to Agra on India's fastest railway line.
- Thirty minute bus ride to Taj Mahal for a 9:30 am to 12:00 pm visit.
- Hour and a Half Lunch at a local hotel
- Forty five minute stop at a factory that produces marble items with inlaid semi-precious stones.
- One hour tour of Fort Agra
- 30 minute stopa at a spice shop
- Four hour and thirty minute bus ride from Agra back to Delhi
Arrival to hotel was around 10:00 pm.
On the third day we woke at 6:00 am and took a one hour bus ride back to the New Delhi Airport and then a four hour flight to Mali, Maldives.
A boat taxi picked us up from the airport and took us directly to the ship where we dropped our bags and caught a tender into Mali for a quick walk of the town.
